The Local Development Volunteers from the municipalities of San Isidro, Sagbayan, Anda and Alburquerque, Bohol meets for the first general assembly meeting. The meeting aims to discuss livelihood projects and organize the Local Development Volunteers Association (LDVA) in the province.

The purpose of LDVA is to assist the Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province in conducting monitoring and updating of poverty status by using the Poverty Database Monitoring System (PDMS). The PDMS is a tool for poverty diagnosis and action planning at local level, and it can be a tool for tracking the impact of specific interventions, including their correlation over time.

The activity was sponsored by Bohol Local Development Foundation (BLDF) with funding support from the Embassy of the United Kingdom through Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s – Global Opportunities Fund - Economic Governance Programme (FCO GOP-EGP).

The LDVA desires to expand its membership from the four municipalities to entire province of Bohol to be able to respond effectively on issues pertaining to local poverty reduction programme and sustainable development.
